Trochodendron aralioides, Wheel Tree - 2Ltr

Also known as Wheel Tree. An unusual evergreen as it is the one and only species of its genus and fossilized imprints of the leaves have been found. Has serrated foliage which are spirally arranged around the stems, salmon-pink when they emerge then becoming dark green as they mature. In autumn, they then turn to shades of red and bronze until spring when they once again become green. Mature plants produce panicles of bright green flowers. Plant in a sunny position where soil is slightly acidic, rich in humus, moist but never too wet.

May grow to 4m x 3m with the right conditions.
