Sophora tetraptera, Kowhai - Pb5/Pb6.5

Also known as Kowhai or Large-Leafed Kowhai. A semi-deciduous tree found in the North Island. Produces golden-yellow flowers in a group of 4-10 through spring. A slender small tree with a graceful habit. Plant in a sunny position where soil is moist but free-draining. Hardy native that may grow to 7m when fully mature.
