Sophora longicarinata, Limestone Kowhai - PB5

Hardy evergreen native originating from the Nelson region. Has long, pendulous leaflets and greenish-yellow flowers that begin to appear in spring. Plant in a sunny, sheltered position where soils are free-draining. Tolerates frost, periods of dry conditions and poorer soils. Attracts birds.

Grows to approximately 5m x 3m in 10 years.
