Sambucus nigra Aurea, Golden Elderberry - Pb6.5 (60/90)

A reasonably quick growing, deciduous shrub that produces florets of cream-white flowers in late Spring which are then followed by dark, purple-black berries in Autumn. Berries are edible after they have been cooked and are typically used to make jams and other preserves. Flowers may be used to make cordial and Elderberry "champagne". Best grown in a sunny position where soils are suitably moist and free-draining.

Usually grows to between 3.5m to 4m both in height and width.
