Robinia Casque Rouge, Black Locust - Pb28/Pb40 (2.5m/3m)

A deciduous, round-headed tree that is reasonably quick growing. Has mid-green pinnate foliage and produces pendulous racemes of fragrant, mauve-pink flowers from late Spring. They are hardy, tolerating heat and periods of drought. Prefers to grow in a sunny position in average type soils that are suitably moist and free-draining. 

Grows to about 5m x 4m over 10 years.
