Also known as Houpara. A native evergreen shrub with a compact, bushy growth habit. Has thick, leathery, glossy green foliage with prominent rib veins. Has inconspicuous flowers in Summer then followed by attractive clusters of berries. Best grown in fertile, moist but free-draining soils either in full sun or part shade. Hardy and suitable for coastal locations.

May grow to about 3m x 2m.
