Phormium cookianum, Mountain Flax - Pb5

Often known as Wharariki and Mountain flax. Has drooping, twisted seed pods and shiny-green, weeping leaves. Smaller than P. tenax. Seeds from January to March. A hardy, evergreen native and suitable for growing in poor soils that are free-draining. Thrive in full sun and tolerates periods of drought and is perfect for coastal locations.

Grows to around 1m x 1m.
