A slow-growing, deciduous tree with a conical growth habit. Has stunning Autumnal colour as the leaves turn from green to a vibrant orange-red. Best grown in a sunny position where soils are moist, rich in humus, fertile and reasonably free-draining. Shelter from cold, dry winds.
