Myrsine australis, Red Matipo - Pb6.5 (60/80)

Better known as Red Matipo and is an evergreen native. Forms a handsome, large shrub with distinctive red branchlets and foliage with wavy margins. The white flowers appear below the leaves then followed by black berries. Used as a specimen shrub, border or for hedging. Frost tender when young. Suitable for growing in full sun or partial shade.

May grow to about 5m x 3m.
