Mespilus germanica, Medlar - Pb18

Better known as Medlar. Has distinctive brown-green fruit with a rough textured skin. Must be left on tree until they have softened. Prefers a sunny, sheltered position and tolerates most types of soil that are free-draining. May grow to approximately 6m.
