Illicium majus, Anise Tree

An evergreen tree that produces distinct, fragrant, cream-white flowers in mid-spring through to early summer. May be grown in full or partial shade where soils are fertile, slightly acidic, moist but free-draining. Has a slow to average growth rate getting to between 10m and 15m.
