Cyathea medullaris, Black Tree Fern - 3Ltr

Also known as Mamaku or Black Ponga. This is the tallest of the New Zealand tree ferns and has a distinct black trunk. When young, they require plenty of moisture, protection from winds and frost. Plant in organically rich soil that is moist but free-draining, water well during hotter months to help maintain good health.

Grows to between 4m and 5m in height and about 3m wide.
