Clianthus puniceus - Pb6.5

Kaka Beak. A fast-growing, hardy, evergreen shrub. Has pinkish-red, parrot beak-shaped flowers in spring and through into summer, and attracts nectar-eating birds. Plant in either full sun or partial shade where soils are moist but free-draining. A light trim after flowering has finished helps maintain the shape.

Grows to about 2m x 2m.
