Cercis chinensis

Chinese Redbud. A medium sized, multi-stemmed tree that forms a broad, vase-shaped crown. Produces tight clusters of purple-pink to purple-red flowers in mid-Spring which are then followed by the foliage. The leaves are almost round in shape, glossy, dark green then becoming bright yellow in Autumn. Plant in a sunny position where soils are moist, fertile and free-draining. Deciduous and tolerates light to moderate frosts. A stunning feature tree that brings early colour to the garden.

Grows to approximately 4.5m to 5m both in height and width.
