Carpinus betulus, Hornbeam - Pb12

A tough hedgerow and woodland tree that is quite often trimmed to create formal or pleached hedges and screens. May also be grown as a feature tree proving good shade during the Summer months. Produces pale, hard timber that may be used for turning. Hardy and deciduous.

Grows to approximately 12m x 8m.
