Also known as Makamaka. The foliage is most attractive with rosy pink undersides showing in the wind. Bunches of creamy flowers in spring are followed by red seed capsules. Fast growing, suitable as a specimen and as a standard. Requires damp soils, a sunny position and protection from frosts. Native evergreen.
