Produces a mass of semi-double, frilly mauve flowers that begin to emerge in late autumn, early winter and through into summer. May be grown in full sun but they do prefer partial shade where soils are slightly acidic, with plenty of organic matter, moist and free-draining. A hardy, evergreen shrub that is suitable for growing in lightly shaded borders and woodland styled gardens. Grows to approximately 1m to 1.2m both in height and width.
