Araucaria araucana, Monkey Puzzle Tree - Pb6.5

Better known as Monkey Puzzle Tree. Araucaria araucana is an evergreen tree growing to 40m tall with a 2m diameter trunk. The leaves are thick, tough and scale-like, triangular, 3 to 4cm long, 1 to 3cm broad at the base with sharp edges and tip. They persist for 10 to 15 years or more, so cover most of the tree except for the older branches.
