This Acer has a weeping growth habit creating a mushroom-like display. Fabulous, finely cut, deep purple-red leaves emerge from red buds. Foliage becomes a brilliant crimson-red colour in autumn. Ideal as a specimen/feature tree and may be grown in containers. Grows well in either full sun or part shade in moist, organically rich soils that are free-draining.
